For those anglers addicted to the Salt Life, this is another bucket list trip. When you mix the best speckled trout fishing in the Gulf of Mexico with huge schools of bull redfish, jack crevall, bluefish, and the sharks (yeah, there are a lot of sharks), you’ve got the makings of an amazing saltwater safari! Your home for three days in the Chandeleur Islands is the 100′ Mothership Backdraft of DMJ Charters. The DMJ staff has been fishing these fertile waters for decades and they are well equipped with 6 ouboard skiffs and all the accouterments to make your trip to “Chandy” unforgettable!
Day 1 (Wednesday): Arrive to the Mothership in Pass Christian, MO at 7:00 PM. Load onto the Mothership and get unpacked. We will head to dinner across the street at Bacchus on the Beach. Optional adventure – trip to the Casino. Make sure you get back to the Mothership by midnight, or you will quite literally “miss the boat” as it departs for the trip south to Chandeleur.
Day 2 (Thursday): Awake to the smell of fresh coffee and frying bacon. All skiffs will be in the water, equipment loaded and ready for a full day of fishing. (Meals: B, L, D)
Day 3 (Friday): Rinse and repeat of prior day’s activities. (Meals: B, L, D)
Day 4 (Saturday): Enjoy a final day of fishing. All skiffs will be back to the Mothership by sunset in order to pack up and get ready for the run back to Pass Christian Harbor. Anglers are welcome to depart upon arrival at the harbor late Saturday night or sleep on the boat and head out first thing Sunday morning. (Meals: B, L, D)
Day 5 (Sunday): Depart the Mothership first thing in the morning and head home with a whole new set of fish tales!

FROM OUR TRAVELERS
“Captain Dennis is a blast. If you are feeling hesitant because of bad past experiences with a crabby saltwater captain don’t hesitate to jump on this boat. We were treated like long time family friends from the beginning and deckhand Larry was one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. Our trip was amazing with great fishing and great company!”
“Great boat and people. Had a blast on my first saltwater adventure. Will definitely be going back.”
“Friends + Family + Beer + Fishing + Captain Dennis = Great times. We had a blast. Captain Dennis is a Cajun cuisine master. The food was just as incredible as the fishing trip. It was my first multi-day charter experience. Captain Dennis made it an incredible one. I would love to make it an annual event. Don’t hesitate to book your trip. You will not regret it!”
